Lead and inspire the provision of a nursery environment which encourages individual development in a group setting. Work alongside the Nursery Manager to monitor, evaluate and improve nursery performance and development.

- Work alongside management to update and review the nursery self-evaluation and improvement plan
- Ensure that all records, staff qualifications, incident reporting are recorded and are in line with nursery policies and procedures
- Conduct staff appraisals and supervisions
- Identify staff training needs
- Liaise closely with parents/carers to inform them about our nursery and our curriculum
- Exchange information about our children’s progress and promoting increase parental involvement
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience, working in an early years setting. Ideally already working in a senior practitioner or room lead capacity.
- Minimum level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent (or working towards said qualification)
- Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the current OFSTED statutory guidance and able to apply that knowledge to nursery specific plans

Before starting employment. All incoming staff must complete a successful DBS check as per industry regulations. References will also be sought during the application stage. Each role/nursery will have their own set of requirements, so please check our open roles page
All salaries are competitive and negotiable (experience and qualification dependent). Salaries will be discussed at application stage once you have submitted your CV and someone from our team has made contact. Please note that all wages are inclusive of holiday pay.
If your little one is within the acceptance age range for the relevant nursery - yes! All our current nurseries offer 50% off childcare for staff.

All our member nurseries fully support educational endeavours. Nursery industry standard training such as Safeguarding and First-aid is all provided, and any additional training is decided by nursery management based upon staff needs. Individual training needs are also considered, and role-dependent are offered to nursery staff.
The nursery opening hours are 7:30am – 6pm
